- updated all plug-ins on their site, and updated WordPress to the latest version
- scanned their website for intrusion and other errors
- updated all the internal navigation and links to provide a better browsing experience
- established a Google Webmasters Tools site for them
- established a Google Analytics site for them and put tracking code on all the webpages
